As patients ourselves, we were frustrated by the slow, inefficient – and sometimes nonexistent – ways in which our physicians were engaging with us. Missing children’s appointments and getting overdue notices were just the beginning. We observed how mobile phones had completely changed consumer behavior. After further researching consumer behavior and understanding the rapidly evolving mobile engagement model, we knew there was an opportunity to bring that innovation to healthcare.
